Inclusion and SEND

Welcome to the SEND and Inclusion Section of Batheaston Church School. My name is Jon Stevenson and I have been the SENDCo at Batheaston for over 25 years.

At Batheaston, we have spent many years working hard to include all children within every aspect of school life, regardless of any needs or barriers to learning they may face. We put inclusion at the heart of everything we do and have been recognised by our Multi Academy Trust as having ‘a clear vision for inclusion, with inclusion being a golden thread that runs through all aspects of school life’.

At Batheaston, we have high aspirations for all our SEND children and have a clear expectation that all pupils are fully included, engaged in their learning and participating fully within school life.  We aim to ensure that all children feel valued and cared for, so that they can reach their potential and enjoy their time with us.

All children at Batheaston are supported to achieve well, and those with additional needs are supported to overcome any barriers they might face via the use of reasonable adjustments on an individual level.

If you are a parent of a child with SEND, please feel happy to contact the school about our SEND provision and we will be happy to talk to you about this.
