Autumn Terms 1 and 2 ‘Swords and Sandals’
We will go on an epic adventure beginning in AD 43, where the Roman emperor Claudius launched an invasion of Britain. We will learn about how over the proceeding 45 years, the Roman army gradually extended its control over much of present-day England and Wales and ventured into territory now in Scotland. We will investigate why the Romans invaded Britain and the legacy they left behind here in the UK.
