Autumn Terms 1 and 2 ‘Around the World in 80 Days’
This term Oak classes topic will be titled ‘Around the world in 80 days’ and will follow the classic story written by Jules Verne. We will be reading the story in our guided reading lessons and using the journey that Phileas Fogg took to structure our topic lessons. With a Geography focus, our topic will look at areas of geography such as latitude and longitude, understanding tectonic plates and how the different plates move. We will also look at how different people in other countries live and compare their lives to our own.
