Spring Terms 1 and 2 ‘Bath Through the Ages’

The Spring terms topic for Oak class in entitled, ‘Bath through the ages’. This is a local study of the history of Bath and the surrounding area. We will focus predominantly on the Georgian era and focus on the style of architecture that defines the city even now. We will also look at significant people during this era and the impact they had on the city. We will also look at more recent periods of history and concentrate on World war 2 and how the Blitz effected the city as well as a the people that lived there. Our final area of study will be a lot closer to home. We are going to look at Batheaston school and how the school has developed over the years. The local study will include looking through our own archives of head teacher logs that gives an in-depth account of the day to day running of the school.
