Autumn Terms 1 & 2 – Saxons and Vikings
Our topic in Oak class this term is a historical study of the Anglo Saxon and Viking periods. We will explore where the Anglo Saxons and Vikings came from, why they settled in England, how they impacted the country at the time and what things they gave us that are still with us today. We will explore how they lived and how that differed to the Roman’s who lived in England before them. The topic will be completed with a study of the battle of hastings and how the Saxon and Viking period ended.
