Autumn Term 1 and 2 ‘Around the World’
Our topic for the Autumn term is “Around the World!” This will be a Geography led topic, focusing on our geographical enquiry skills to locate places across the globe. We will look at key lines of longitude and latitude, river structure, earthquakes and practical map reading skills. Our topic will also expand across the whole curriculum. In Guided Reading we will be studying “The White Giraffe” by Lauren St John, which is set in South Africa. Our Art and DT lessons will explore different cuisines and artistic techniques from a variety of cultures, and Music lessons will be a chance to celebrate the range of instruments and musical genres across our wonderful world!
