Summer Terms 1 and 2 ‘Do the Crime, Pay the Time’
This term in Maple Class our topic is “Do the Crime, Pay the Time”. We will be exploring how crime and punishment have changed over different periods in history, from the Roman era to modern day. Using our historical enquiry skills, we want to understand the significant turning points in our justice system through our own research, analysing historical sources and even role playing our own courtroom scenes! This is an exciting topic to link to our Science learning too. In addition to our work on lifecycles, we will spend some time looking at the techniques used to find evidence in police investigations and take on the role of detectives to discover the culprit!
