Spring Terms 1 and 2 ‘Design it, Make it, Test it’
In this exciting topic, “Design it, Make it, Test it,” we will explore the amazing world of inventors and inventions! Children will discover how inventions solve problems, learn why resilience and compassion are important in design, and ask big questions like: Why was this invented? How does it work? How could it be improved? We’ll design and make interactive books with moving parts using levers and linkages, and create our own night lights by building circuits and testing different switches. Along the way, we’ll look at key inventions that shaped our world and even try some cooking skills! It promises to be a creative, hands-on journey full of problem-solving and innovation!
