Autumn Terms 1 and 2 ‘Let Sparks Fly’
During our first term in Cherry Class, we will be embedding and consolidating the learning that the children did in EYFS. We will continue to use a Learning Landscape (Continuous Provision) to investigate and develop skills. We will focus on phases 3 and 4 of Phonics to ensure that these are permanent before moving onto phase 5. We will have daily Phonics, Drawing Club and Maths sessions whilst also enjoying our fabulous topic of ‘Let the Sparks Fly’ which focuses on The Great Fire of London. We are looking forward to spending a fantastic year together in Cherry Class.
