Autumn Terms 1 and 2 – Anglo Saxons, Vikings and Scots

This Spring term for our geography topic, we will be travelling to Africa, more specifically, to South Africa. We will learn about the countries, continents and the oceans in the world. We will then settle into our own local area and discover the similarities and differences between where we live and South Africa. We will be venturing out into Batheaston to carry out an in-depth study of the area and compare it with Johannesburg. We will be honing our map skills by reading and creating maps, using map symbols and keys, learning to read six figure grid references and the points of a compass. Let the adventure begin!
